I woke up in a sweat and rolled over to see the time. 1:25pm. Had a good time last night going to Michelle’s party, then to my neighbors for Halloween. I ended up going as a 20’s gangster. At both parties everyone looked awesome. Props to Kelsey for her Hulk Hogan idea, it turned out great.

I haven’t blogged for a while. Lately I’ve just been attending school, doing midterms. I am excited to sign up for the spring semester. I think I will take transmissions class and a brake class. Hopefully next semester I can go full time to school. I’m also hoping to get into the DOR (dept. of rehabilitation) programs so they would cover my school tuition. I will know by Tuesday, so excited. More details to come .

The talent show went on excellently. Many awesome performances and really a great showcase of talent from the mental health community.

We went surfing on the past Saturday. It went excellent. It felt good to see my friends enjoying something as much as I do, and hopefully some may want to become surfers.

Other than that life is good. School is going well. I have an A in both classes and hope to finish with a 4.0. I’m feeling better each day. I am on three anti-psychotics but it must be the right three because they are working. I haven’t felt this good in a long time.

Well, going surfing at Tourmaline be back soon.

Intro to Mike

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mike. I am a student at Cuyamaca College in the automotive program. I enjoy surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding just to name a few of my hobbies. I love the outdoors and get outside as much as I can. I am pretty normal except that I have schizophrenia.

My blog is about my day to day experiences and thoughts while living with schizophrenia. By writing this I hope to stamp out stigma that is associated with this illness. I also want my blog to show that even though I am ill, I am no more different than you.
